Dan Black is what is now your typical MySpace upstart. He's an unsigned artist that is hoping to build up a fan base through the networking site a la Lily Allen and Colbie Caillat. He's actually really only just gotten started...he created his account late last month and has just under 500 friends. As far as his style, you can definitely hear his influences (Jay-Z and Sigur Ros) in his work. Especially in his song HYPNTZ. Listen below:
