I was unaware of it at the time the album was released, but apparently Dan Wilson (he of Semisonic fame) had a hand in the Dixie Chicks' last album. He even nabbed a Grammy for Best Original Song (Not Ready To Make Nice). Dan has just released his solo album, Free Life, and I was pleased to find that he included his version of my favourite Chicks song. Since he wrote the song, I guess it's not technically a remake or cover on his part, but I'm posting it here regardless.If you like what you hear, check out more from him over on iTunes:
